C# and Java: Comparing Programming Languages

This is a pretty comprehensive, and pretty even-handed, comparison (Java gets kudos for doing some things better than C# and vice versa). If you're still curious about how the other half lives, check it out, but I'll bottom line it for you: C# and Java are pretty much the same language. The real differences are in the respective libraries, not the languages.

Media2Go Preview

The idea of Media2Go is a PDA/MP3-player-style device just for A/V, e.g. a video-enabled iPod. I have mixed feelings about it. I think I'd rather watch videos on my laptop and get an audio-enabled cell phone than carry yet another device.

SPOT On

While I think that the prototype watches are butt ugly, I really want to write apps for my watch. With a decent metal frame and a color screen, the Smart Personal Object Technology (SPOT) watches would rock. nogoop ActiveX/COM Inspector 1.1.10 released

From Francis Upton: The ActiveX/COM Inspector allows you to inspect and execute any ActiveX control. It works with controls and typelibs, automatically showing the documentation associated with classes and members. Quickly find out how a control behaves using event logging, a visual design surface, method execution and property inspection. Use it to help understand Automation interfaces (for example MS Office), and to help with developing Addins.
